SENIOR DONUT DRIVE: November 13, 2020
After planning many events and brainstorming different ideas with our restrictions being unknown and continuously changing, the senior officers and I still knew that we wanted to make this a special event for our seniors. Most seniors would have to come onto campus to pick up their class clothing, so we wanted to make it extra special for our seniors. So, we decided to designate one day for seniors to come by. We played music, distributed donuts and class clothing, while also handing out graduation clothing information. We had donuts for our seniors, and the picture even fails to show how many! We got over thirty dozen donuts - SO many donuts! Overall, it was so great to see seniors come by! It was so much fun to catch up, and we did it in a safe way. We got to be on campus, finally see teachers face to face, and just reunite after being a part for over six months. Although us seniors have not got the senior year that we have been imagining for years, this event was a special event because we made it work despite the limitations. Here's to achieving more for our seniors!
HOMECOMING: October 14-18, 2019
Homecoming - my favorite event of the year! Homecoming is when I have made the best memories and when I feel the most stressed and joyful at the same time. Homecoming is where you get to see your hard work pay off. It's a week packed full with best events. During Homecoming for 2019, I planned the Homecoming Parade. Planning the parade is infamous for being stressful and full of paperwork. But, I was up for the challenge. I worked closely with Mr. Demsure and the Tracy High Clubs. I served as the liaison between the clubs and Mr. Demsure. I had to coordinate with all of the clubs and make sure that they filled out the paper work correctly and on time. In fact, we had huge success! We had many of our Tracy High Clubs participate, and this was the first year in history that all club paper work was turned in time! This required lots of close work with the clubs and being available to help clubs fill out paper work and to answer questions. Having all of the paper work and legal signatures for the cars for the parade filled out made the parade run pretty smoothly. Although there were a few hiccups, I worked with my committee to get all of the cars lined up in the correct order and to convey the parade information to everyone. The parade was a huge success, and it is one that I will always remember because I got to lead the parade when during the years prior, I would be a part of the audience. Leading the parade was a great moment where I was able to see my hard work pay off and got to see the Tracy community enjoy the event too!
